Assaulted at McDonald's Drive-Thru

This incident occurred August 2016:

I was at a drive-thru with my four-year-old and 6-month old. While I was digging in my wallet for some coins, I guess I was slow to drive up to the window. The man in the car behind me yelled for me to get off the f**ing phone. I very politely responded that I wasn't on the phone. Then he just lost it. He told me to go back to China (I'm from Vietnam and have lived in the US for over 36 years). He continued to shout out his window that I probably was on welfare and f**k my baby on board sign. He also said that we (immigrants, I guess) do nothing but take from everyone else while he has to go to work.

I was very concerned for my safety and that of my children, so I rolled up my window and kept my mouth shut. I wanted to tell him that I am a human and didn't deserve that. I had just gone back to work and had to send my infant to daycare.

I came to America because of the selflessness of a group of families who sponsored me, my father, and my four siblings. My father fought in the war and became a widow shortly after I was born. He was a single father of five children under ten years old. My siblings and I are very successful adults and have contributed to society very positively. We are good people, but this man at the drive-thru didn't consider that when he chose to lash out at a mother and her two children at McDonald's.
